is an annual celebration of the visual and performing arts featuring artists from the St. Louis area and across the nation. On September 6, 7, and 8, 2024, AS WE CELEBRATE 31 YEARS...over 180 artists that have been selected by a distinguished panel of judges will exhibit and sell their original work in booths located on the streets of Clayton’s central business district. The festival also features the children’s “Creative Castle” which gives children the opportunity to participate in structured art activities designed to stimulate the creative process. Professional performing artists and ensembles entertain audiences on two different stages offering festival audiences a greater understanding of the arts. Additionally, an impressive array of fine foods served by some of St. Louis’ finest restaurants will fill the festival’s Restaurant Row. A distinguished and educated audience hailing from near and far attend this event each year.
EMT leaders are an extremely important part of SLAF and are selected for participation based on the individual’s interest, talent and knowledge. A strong level of commitment and dedication and ability to be well organized is required for each EMT position. The Leader should also identify new and returning volunteers who are eager to be a part of the team leadership.
SLAF’s team approach to special event management mandates that all volunteer team members possess a keen sense of self-motivation, the proclivity to work positively with a variety of personality types and leadership styles, the ability to be flexible and to embrace change. SLAF EMTs possess and demonstrate a high standard of integrity and professionalism.
