Sarah Umlauf assumed the role of Executive Director of the Saint Louis Art Fair in 2019, with expertise in art history, strong relationships with area businesses and city government, and years of experience as a Saint Louis Art Fair volunteer.

Sarah came to the organization from the City of Clayton, where she served as Museum and Community Outreach Specialist for 11 years. In this position, she acted as administrator for the Clayton Century Foundation (CCF), a private fundraising vehicle that works in partnership with the City. She worked with businesses and managed donor appreciation events. She also managed the day-to-day operations of the Historic Hanley House Museum, including identifying and applying for grants, and sustaining donor relationships.

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at Washington University and received an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from The George Washington University. For the past 20 years, she has served as a docent/volunteer educator for the St. Louis Art Museum.

Sarah maintains an active presence amongst her event professional peers through jurying, coordinating emerging artist programs, and serving on the International Festival and Events Association Foundation Board of Directors.

Sarah is thrilled to lead this valued St. Louis organization, presenter of one of the top art fairs in the country.

Megan Zaranek is the Associate Director of the Saint Louis Art Fair, where she oversees operations for one of the nation’s premier outdoor art festivals. With more than a decade of experience in the event and art festival industry, she brings a strong background in production, logistics, and large-scale event management.

Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, Megan earned her degree in Resort and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Management from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. Her career in the art festival industry began with ArtFest Fort Myers, where she developed a deep appreciation for outdoor festivals and the communities they serve. She later advanced to Production Manager and ultimately Associate Director, leading the coordination and execution of all operational aspects of the event.

Megan was part of the Operations team for the Saint Louis Art Fair in 2023, gaining firsthand experience with the event’s scale and impact. She joined the organization full-time in 2024 as Associate Director, bringing her expertise to further strengthen and enhance festival operations.

In her current role, Megan is dedicated to elevating the experience for artists, patrons, and partners alike. She is passionate about supporting the arts and creating engaging, high-quality events that foster community connection.

Megan is proud to be part of the vibrant St. Louis arts community and is committed to helping the Saint Louis Art Fair continue to thrive as a cornerstone cultural event in the region.
