Facebook- toms fire pits

My hand-made fire pits are one of a kind works of art. All are hand-drawn, constructed and hand-cut with a torch out of ¼” thick steel or 3/16” thick stainless steel. Extremely durable, they will last forever and can become a family heirloom. They are a conversation piece of art that your family and friends will make memories around for years to come. 37” across, 46” tall, approx. 250 lbs.

I am a metal sculptor who works predominantly with reclaimed automotive sheet metal. I cut, rivet, weave and weld various metals together to create unique, one of a kind sculptures. I enjoy the interplay of color and texture and the history that each piece of metal brings to my work.

Since 1981, my baskets weaving process has evolved into using more shapes with non-traditional materials. I use sheets of metal, which are panted with acrylics and then cut on a bench shear. The framework of each piece is constructed of wooden rings and arches The strips are hand-woven over these forms.
